It's hard to ruin a summertime dish by putting fresh basil in it! Salads, sandwiches, pastas, grilled chicken or fish. And of course, pesto, which doesn't take up much space in the freezer, but sure tastes good in January. Each bunch is approximately 1/4 pound.
Your basil will be one of the two varieties, Italian large leaf (top) and lettuce leaf (below).
